Getting The Blues.

After yesterdays foray into the blue and purple territory, I notice a gaping hole in my shoe wardrobe. No Blue! True, there should probably be a few other colours in there too, but today I am on the hunt for a killer pair of blue shoes. Perhaps it is just that time of year, as in my search for blue shoes, I came across a post that The Coveted did in August last year with a jazzy pair of Louboutin lace ups. Given that the schedule doesn't permit actual real life shopping today, I have had to satisfy my blueberry lust, in that most dangerous of ways. Online. Here is my short list of favorites for your perusal. If only international shipping wasn't so $$$ I'd get the whole bunch.

Dear,

You pointed out one of my gaping hole as well. I never noticed that colour for shoes, so now searching for the right blue shoes begins!

P.S. thank you so much for your lovely comment, even though my shorts were ridiculous. You are so on my blogroll xx

The first pair especially are fantastic. I used to have a pair of 80's blue shoes... But then the leather started to crack and the colour started to fall off...

I miss them now.

All so cute! Beware the Newport News shoes....I occasionally get their catalog and their wares are of very middling quality. In my opinion, not worth what shipping would cost! I love the first pair--so cute.

Times of Glory: I can't wait to see what you find.
L: That first pair are high on my list.
Amy G: Thanks for the heads up. It helps to have the perspective of someone with experience.

Shipping isn't that bad from the US- I buy shoes online all the time! We can chat about it at tea, you'll be meeting an online shopping addict. 'Hi, I'm Lady Melbourne and I can't stop buying shoes online.'
I think you should invest in the top pair, they are gorgeous and I can see them with so much of your wardrobe already.

So much lovely blue. The platform Mary Janes seem like "you" to me. If you're not going to take them, maybe I will!

those patent mary janes are hot. but is it just me or are they borderline skanky?

I'm going to throw a 'spanner into the works', because I have some alternative tasty treats in blue for mothers consideration. Should they not tempt the peep is fav.

It's that particular shade of blue in the Louboutins which is very alluring...

I jsut realized I also miss a piar of true blue shoes too... I like the first ones, go get'em girl! Oh, and that royal blue colour looks great on you, as seen in the pics in the post below!

Wendy B: they are my favorite of this lot too.
Mrs Fox: I love those too, but sadly I can't seem to find them in store anymore.
Gilda: I was so tempted by that last pair, but living in Melbourne I tend to have tram track accidents in skinny heels. (That is, getting your foot stuck in the track when a tram is barelling down on you!)
LM: On your coaxing, I have taken the plunge today and sent for two lovely pairs to be sent post haste.
enc: You're right. And I did order them.
Lil Puch: I know you'll gasp, but I haven't seen the movie yet!
A dreamer: I think the skank factor is why I like them.
Imelda: I am in shoe heaven checking out your post today. That requires some serious consideration and IRL shopping, where as these are just my cheap and cheerful impulse buys.
Susie: You are so right. It reminds me of Christmas baubles.
Freelancer: I can't wait to work some great outfits around them. I just hope they fit!

They are al gorgeous!

I almost bought some ankle boots in royal blue some time ago, but I really needed boots that could go with everything, so I went for boring black instead :(
