Daily Outfit

Outfit details: Black hoodie - Miss Shop, Metallic silver kimono sleeve top - Tempt, Camo skirt - PTO, Metallic leggings - Target, Shoes - Wittner, Earrings - David Jones (Westwood style crowns)

This outfit was shot on location at my brothers new apartment; as everyone moved the boxes in around me. I arrived just at the right time, on the tail end of all the hard work. So I was using boxes as a tripod and was shooting in lamp light, I'm surprised they turned out as well as they did!

It is so cold and windy here at present, so I really have to layer my outfits to make anything work. It is a great excuse for fabulous coats outside, but that's not always workable. The metallic leggings are just a stocking weight fabric, but are surprisingly warm, and the heavy canvas of the skirt makes it ideal for windy weather. I love this skirt, I bought it such a long time ago and although it doesn't get many outings, it always makes me happy. In fact I have had it for such a long time that I think it's first outing was with a pair of stacked "rocket" shoes and a tiara! It has such a great shape and a nice weight to it that makes it sort of swing like a bell when I walk.

I must be feeling a lot better today (those scones did the trick) because I am trawling Ebay and Etsy again (bad girl, you're supposed to sell things not buy them!), and planning tomorrows outfit.

I think your photos look great (especially considering the boxes/lamplight situation), and I agree - on a freezing day like today then happy comfort clothes are a wonderful treat.

It's not easy to render camo glamo, but you did! I'm also going to try the egg recipe below. My eight-year-old saw it and was immediately intrigued . . .

I love the batwing cardigan, and that hairstyle is very cool, rather rock chick :) Your cure for the common cold is a good one by the way. I often get dolled up and make myself egg tea sandwiches and a cup of english breakfast when I'm down - always makes me happier :) and I am definitely going to try out the egg cups they're so cute!

layering is a big part of my life - every morning i seem to spend a good hour piling layers on top of one another.... its good for the crazy weather though, you can just peel them away as the sun comes out.... xf

I love the button detail on the skirt! Looks gorgeous. I also love the shape and the colour and how they quite opposite to each other but they still look awesome!

That is the most incredible and workable use of camo I've ever seen. You always inject everything you wear with grace and charm, SKM.

Skye: And it is even colder today!
The Exception: Thank you.
K.Line: You've got me sussed haven't you?
Wendy B: The shape of it is very you.
Miss Cavendish: I love that - Camo Glamo. lol. Definetly make the eggs, they are a real treat, and for extra points, listen to some early Ella Fitzgerald while doing so.
Danielle Delamont: Cardigan $5 (what a steal!) and that's exactly what I thought of the hair too. I like to chanel my inner rock chick occasionally.
Freelancer: "First I'd like to thank my family, and god and my ISP..." hehe Thank you!
Francis G: We Aussies certainly know our layering, which is a great skill to have where you are.
Miss Vintage Love: Thank you. Another one to add to the tutorial To Do list.
A cat of impossible colour: It's all in the silhoette.
Lady Smaggle: The buttons are my favorite too. They do give it a great shape, and I find that mixing up colours and textures like this injects some humour into an outfit, which for me is a big part of what it is all about.
Esme: It is quite excellent. I bought it as a summer layering piece and it is finding all sorts of uses.
enc: You're making me blush. If only camo was more often used in this "Glamour-flague" manner.

You style is so unique, I love it! That skirt is just killer, and looks amazing on you. And your hair looks really pretty in these shots.

Jumping jerusalems, A camoflage dirndl. Now I have seen everything. Ooooo, I am getting flashbacks of Maria running up a dozen outfits for the kids to "play in" out of the roll of camoflage she found in the nazi's attic.......
