Outfit details: Red leopard top - The Coveted on Etsy, Teal top - Miss Shop, Skirt - SES, Shoes - Urban Originals on Ebay.
Firstly, let me apologize for today's rushed pictures. The colour and detail is somewhat lost here. It was a mad rush to get to kinder this morning. I'd like to get some better outfit shots with these shoes, but I just had to show you these lovelies. After my blue shoe obsession, these are one of the pairs I purchased on Ebay and they are a perfect fit. I am so please as it all worked out much more economically that I initially thought, particularly if I take into account the cost of petrol here at present and the time I would have taken to drive around and find something similar.
I actually had a day to spend to myself today. So I took the opportunity to book myself into the hairdresser as my visits tend to be marathon events. After 4 hours and the perfect colour (finally - thank you Brad!), I headed off happy to tackle a little shopping before my child free day came to an abrupt end. When you have a rare five hours to yourself, they go all to quickly.
I am about to spend the next week as a sole parent while the Mr. gallivants around in Thailand, hanging out at the pool and drinking Mai Tai's. He says it is a conference but I know better. *wink* But that is good news for you all, as I plan to occupy my time tackling many of the requests I've received for specific posts and concocting all sorts of surprises to come. And perhaps I'll start tomorrow with a Bloody Mary, just to share in that vacation spirit.

I am enchanted with your pretty shoes! How lovely to have a day to yourself. Good luck next week as a single mother.....I have been there a number of times and I agree that the Bloody Mary is the way to go. ;)
I adore those shoes! They are such an unusual colour too...
You look very happy with your new shoes. They're really great on you, and I see why you chose them. They'll integrate very well with your existing wardrobe.
I love how you matched the top here.
this blog is so original! i love the fifties inspired feel in your outfits :)

Lovely shoes indeed. They'll work with almost any color! I'd like to wear them with a long yellow dress I have. . .
I'll join you for afternoon cocktails and see if I can't squeeze my trotter into your new heaven shoes!
Amy G: Yes, I have done it many times. That's actually how I started this blog, by having so many nights to myself!
Penny: The colour is a lovely teal blue, it didn't come out so well in these photos, but they are quite smashing.
Enc: They should fit in well. I often build my outfits around my shoes.
tinsley: Thank you. I guess because this blog is all me, exactly as I am and I have had (many) years to solidify my personal style. I really appreciate your comment. :)
Miss Cavendish: Oh yellow would be the bees knees with these! (note to self - yellow dress).
Imelda: Madame have you perhaps been up all night entertaining various dignitaries till breakfast? What an unruly hour to be making cocktail plans.
You are absolutely gorgeous, and I love the way you dress-it is incredibly unique and fits you so well. I know many a mom who used to be quite adorable, and I am glad that you've not fallen into that "used to be" category. Mommyhood has not taken your spark of fashionability away! Bravo!

p.s. I added your blog to my blogroll
Snap! Caring for only 2 people's needs; frees up some creativity and you get to miss each other a bit too.
Love the Teal, it was a new color for me this summer, but in Dublin the quality of the light means you can wear more intense shades.
Loving the pictures on the Patio Super K; love the melbourne light.
xx
Makemoremistakes: Why thank you! Fashion is a wonderful way to retain your own unique identity. I'd rather be referred to as "That woman in the skull dress," than "Miss 4's Mum."
Hammie:It sure does, I just skip feeding myself anything fancy and blog instead! And while the Melbourne light is lovely it is bloody freezing at present.
Ah fabulous shoes SKM, so glad you decided to get them!
I can see endless outfits for these, all the more reason to come back for my daily dose of glamour!
