Daily Outfit - Making Sunshine When It Rains

Outfit details: Raincoat- Tokidoki, Scarf - Louis Vuitton cherry blossom design, Cardigan - Vintage Angora handknit that was Mums, Grey Knit T-shirt- Witchery, Pants - Living Doll, Shoes- Wittner

It is completely freezing here at the moment. My day started very early in the dark of the morning, as I had to take my baby into hospital for a check up, (she's going great yay!). This meant that we had to brave the wild weather. You know the days when the sky is so dark, and the rain is so heavy that you can barely see to drive? It was one of those mornings. So my new Tokidoki raincoat had its first opportunity for an outing. Other than that, this outfit is one of my very fast, casual numbers (track suit alternatives) that is perfect for running around like a crazy person, when you need to be comfortable, warm and look halfway decent. To be honest, it is pretty tame for me, but I thought I'd show you what happens on those days when the days demands have to take priority over my ideal choices. And as you can see, the sun made a guest appearance for my photos, so the happy raincoat must have done the trick.

That raincoat is very cute! I did a "this is what I wear on a practical day" post today too - I think it must be the freezing cold weather.

Right now, I like looking at your winter outfits because I'm in the midst of a hot summer here in the US and sometimes I long for the opportunity to wear a sweater and thick tights. But I think in about 6 months, when I'm freezing my butt off and you're showing off summer dresses, I may just be green with envy!

Skye and Doris: Super kawaii!
Susie Bubble: It is so stroke-able
Nadine: Thank you, I love the marshmallow look of the pink.
Kelly: I'm a winter person, no doubt about it.
Wendy B: Like a baby chick. (That's kind of how it feels too.) Very comforting on a nasty day.

It's so funny, because we are having some rainstorms here too, but we are in the middle of summer- 115 degree days here in the desert!- and it's so odd to me to be reading about cold weather right now ;)

I adore that sweater- so pink! So fuzzy! And the raincoat is adorable too. You even look glam when you are running around crazily! My crazy-days outfits usually consist of a pair of skinny pants, one of my Threadless T's from my growing collection, a pair of patterned flats (polka dot, stripey, zebra, etc, I have all kinds) and a cute sweater. When I CAN wear a sweater, that is! We have a lot of hot weather here in El Paso ;)

Shady: Okay, that is hot as F*ck! We get that kind of heat here too, so I know what a drag it can be.
Lady Coveted: The perfect top for wearing in a room full of gorgeous men, ;)
Imelda: Thank you. xx
Lady Melbourne:It's a good top for swooning as it gives a soft landing. :)
