Cats and Dogs

Outfit details: Hello Kitty reversable vest - Vintage childrens from Ebay, Teal top - Miss Shop, Wide leg jeans - Target, Pointed flats - Pura Lopez, Red polka dot earrings - Diva.

I do love a quiet Monday. Today was the first day in ages we had some sun. It was one of those wonderful winter days that could almost trick you into believing that spring is on the way. Parts of my garden seem to think so, and it is days like these when I actually venture out, I realise just how much garden work there is to be done. (I know I have a gardener on my speed dial somewhere.) But when confronted with a mountain of work that really isn't all that high on my To Do list (probably due to me not really wanting to), I chose instead to spend the day sewing and playing with the dogs in this fleeting sunshine.

As you can see, there are times that call for jeans and flats, and cruising around the garden with the dogs is just such a time. I didn't realise until I uploaded these photos that had chosen my Hello Kitty vest for the occasion. I wonder if they noticed?

On an entirely unrelated note, I found another very cool way to waste time today. My Heritage Face recognition software, is a free online program that you can upload your photo too and, using its facial recognition software, it compares your face with celebrities and morphs the two together!

Check out the results of mine. *warning this is HIGHLY addictive and seriously fun*

Oh what gorgeous dogs! Thanks for the award! I've been a bit lazy blog-wise lately, but I'm getting back into it!
I know! what a beautiful day it was today! I actually tricked myself into believing that it would be okay to leave the house without a coat on! but as soon as it gets dark, it is absolutely chill-some!

Ohhh that vest... total uber-adorableness!!! Love it :D

I have played with that celebrity morph before, and it always says I resemble Monica Belluci, to which I say- "I wish!!" Haha.
But Grace Kelly & you, quite perfect!

I like the whimsy quality of that vest. One thing I admire about you is your sense of humor, the vest being a great indicator of it.

Oh wasn't it just glorious yesterday! Today wasn't too bad either. Hello Kitty is perfect for romping around in the yard. I don't blame you for not wanting to do the gardening- I just lay in the sun reading!

Ruby May: glad to hear you're back!
heather, penny, nadine & saray: It's amazing what comes up as kids vintage on Ebay. when I saw this I just had to have it.
Shady: I know what you mean. I was also given Natalie Wood (which was actually a good match), but then lots of Asian celebs that I have never heard of. That was a bit strange.
enc: You've hit the nail on the head. For me, fashion has to have a sense of humour about it. That's where the fun lives in choosing accessories for me.
A cat of impossible colour: I think shes lovely too.
Imelda: I'd love to see a morph of the despot.
LM: Glorious indeed.
Anna: Thank you!

Dear Mama,
You are indeed super kawaii!
I want a mommy who wears Hello Kitty too!
If you are thinking of adopting, I'm potty-trained and can feed myself. Cute wardrobe and many years' worth of Hello Kitty paraphernalia included. x

Kim: Thank you so much! That means a lot. So glad to see you here too.
Dear Likkle Girl: Adoption is being considered. The requirements for the position include being able to push a swing for hours on end, advanced barbie hairdressing skills and blind obedience, "because I said so!"

Dear Mama,
Swing-pushing - Check
Barbie hairdressing skills - Check. Quite advanced. Not formally-trained but can do human hair too.
Blind obedience - Umm...never been great with parental authority so maybe can swap for cooking, baking sewing and doggie bathing/walking skills? Will furnish more if required.
Thank you for your consideration! Looking forward to wearing our mom-and-bub Hello Kitty combos. x

Dear Likkle Girl: If you up for a bit of Japanese Mum and Bub styling, I'm game.
Tokyo Bunnie: Thank you, I used to buy Hello Kitty and pretend it was for my daughter, but I'm really too loud and proud for that.

Woah, I tried the Celeb Morph thing and got morphed into Jay Adams, a contempory of Stacy Peralta and mad shredder of the LA skate scene of the 70's/ 80's. Incidentally, I am a female and he is a dude. Also, he had his tongue out in the image... And writing on his head.

I feel worse about myself than when my friend Kim in year 7 told me I looked like Vinnie Del Pino from Wonder Years. Jay Adams... honestly...
