A Matter Of Opinion

I am still on a mission to find my perfect summer shoes. Before I let you in on the details of these pairs, I'd like to garner your opinion. I'm going for comfortable, casual and somewhat vintage styling. So what do you think?

  1. Hi, I adore your blog, I'm linking your as soon as I post this. You've earned yourself a new fan!

I like the first pair, but I think cork wedge is a bit too chunky.

I was also looking for perfect summer sandals untill I found out I'll be spending most of my summer over in the northern hemisphere and the rest in school uniform.

  2. Honestly - i'm not feeling them.....
not over flatting around the ankles.... i think its the strap to close to the bottom of you leg/ankle area along with lack of heel..... gives a bit of stumpy leg look.
Although they are probably very comfortable ......

    First look cute

  4. if both have the same amount of comfyness, stick to the first pair. they are much more elegant, and probably they are easier to put on as well - just slip into them..

  5. I prefer the first pair. They're more delicate looking and I think they'd be cooler in the summer as they allow a larger area of skin to breathe.

  6. The first pair are a dream! I love them!

  7. I'm voting for the first pair too - elegant and pretty on you! The other ones look a little bit like those nana shoes that you can buy at the chemist.

  8. I am going to buck the trend here - I like the second pair. For a more 40's feel, that ankle strap is perfect and I love the wedge. I'd wear them in a heartbeat.

  9. Both, dear. The first pair are lightweight and have enough vintage feel to satisfy you, without stopping traffic in a bad way.

The second? Do what you do and stick some cherries or rhinestones or a pair of dress clips or something FABULOUS on them to personalize them, then OWN it. I think they've got perfect structure and I know you can do wonders with them.

  10. The second pair is too "nurse". The first pair is more , "Hellooooo Nurse!". Definitely the first pair.

  11. I like the first pair better as well. The second pair look to gramma-ish and not in a good way!

  12. I really like the first. But I kind of think the second look like orthopedic shoes.

  13. I like them without the ankle strap, unless those are two different shoes in which case I like the first.

  14. Really like the first pair. Really do not like the second. Second looks like nurse uniform shoes to me.

  17. the first pair are much more feminine, but the second pair look like you could run a marathon in them and not have sore feet.

pair#1 for a day shopping and lunching

pair#2 for a day in the park with the kids

  22. Have to agree with all these guys - the first pair look beter + will be better in summer due to the holes at the toes.

  26. I actually like them both – the wedge shape of the first, and the twisty toe bit of the second... with what you pair them with i think they'd both look really good.

  27. I love the homi ped feel of both pairs but the ankle strap on the second pair isn't flattering.

  28. To me, the first pair is more boring (look like a Payless special) and the second pair are very cute and flirty, and much more authentic looking!
